A. Job Title: Senior Staff of Technology Department
Job Requirements:
• Experience: more than 5 years of experience in the same field
• Language Skills: English – Excellent both in writing and speaking
• Education: PhD holder or Master's degree holder with research motivation in the field of science and technology
• Interpersonal Soft skills: Analytical thinking, Communication skills
• Specific requirements:
o Experience on management of research oriented functional centers in industry or academics is preferable.
o Preparation and execution of the implementation plan of advanced research equipments is preferable.
o Preparation and execution of educational and training programs in the field of scientific and engineering area is preferable.
o Budget management in the fields of research and education is preferable.
Job description:
1. E-JUST plans to establish several common functional centers, for instance, Common Manufacturing Center, Analysis Center, MEMS Center, Solar Energy Center, etc. This position will be in charge of overall operational management of centers and employees (Engineer and technicians) thereof.
2. This position is in charge of preparing the advanced research equipment implementation plan and executing it. He/she will work closely with both Egyptian and Japanese academic staff to collect their inputs and reflect these to the implementation plan. Further, he/she will also be required to optimize the designated budget.
3. In cooperation with E-JUST academic staff, this position will be in charge of preparing and executing experimental education programs both for undergrads and post-graduates utilizing the common equipment centers as well as dual positioning systems of academic staff.
B. Job Title: Chemist or Chemical Engineer for Common Analysis Center
Job Requirements:
• Experience: more than 3 years of experience in the same field
• Language Skills: English – Excellent both in writing and speaking
• Computer Skills:
1- Chemical structural formula drawing software (Chem Draw, Symyx : ISIS/Draw etc.)
2- Scientific chart making software (IGOR, Origin, Gnuplot, etc.)
• Education: Master's degree holder with research motivation in chemistry or material science field
• Interpersonal Soft skills: Analytical thinking, Research motivated and Communication skills
• Specific requirements:
Experience of instrumental analysis using at least one of the following equipment:
o Gas Chromatograph, High Performance Liquid Chromatograph or any other chromatographic analysis systems,
o UV-Vis, FT-IR, or any other spectroscopic analysis systems, or
o STM, TEM, Laser Microscope or any other microscopes
Job description:
1. Analysis and material test services by using advanced analysis systems which will be installed in the common analysis center of E-JUST technology department such as;
- High Performance Liquid Chromatograph
- Gas Chromatograph/ Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer
- Ion Chromatograph
- UV-Visible Spectrometer
- Fluorescence Spectrometer
- Fourier Transform IR Spectrometer
- X-Ray photoelectron Spectrometer
- X-Ray Diffractometer
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry
- Scanning Electron Microscope
- Transmission Electron Microscope
- Laser Microscope
2. Maintenance of the above mentioned common analysis equipment
3. Consultation and training regarding analysis methods
4. General operational management of the common analysis center as the chief engineer of the center
C. Job Title: Technician for Common Manufacturing Center
Job Requirements:
• Experience: more than 3 years of Experience in the same field
• Language Skills: English – Excellent both in writing and speaking
• Computer Skills: 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.
• Education: Faculty or Institute Graduate
• Interpersonal Soft skills: Analytical thinking, Communication skills
• Specific requirements:
o Precise manufacturing skills using metalworking machinery such as lathe, milling machine, drill press among others is mandatory.
o Must have experience of precise manufacturing using computer controlled machinery such as CNC milling machine, laser cutting machine, etc.
Job description:
1. Manufacture and trial manufacture of device by using common processing equipment which will be installed in the common manufacturing center of E-JUST such as;
Lathe, Drill Press, Bench Top Milling Machine, Laser Cutting Machine and Turn Mill Center, etc.
2. Maintenance of the above mentioned common processing equipment
3. Consultation and training regarding manufacturing methods.
D. Job Title: Procurement Officer of Advanced Research Equipment
Job Requirements:
• Experience: from 2 to 4 years of Experience in the same field
• Language Skills: English – Excellent both in writing and speaking
• Computer Skills: Microsoft office
• Education: Bachelor's degree in the field of science and technology
• Interpersonal Soft skills: Analytical thinking, Communication skills
• Specific requirements:
o Knowledge in advanced research equipment is mandatory.
Job description:
1. This position is in charge of procurement of advanced research equipment from Egyptian market. It means that he/she is in charge of overall administrations of procurement including; negotiation with Egyptian manufacturers/agents dealing with advanced research equipment, preparation of tender notice, and operations of contract agreement.
2. If necessary, he/she will contact overseas manufacturer/agents via e-mail to inquire, request and negotiate.
3. This position needs enough communication skill so that he/she works together with Japanese counterpart.
